LACLOCHE FRÈRES Lacloche Frères were renowned for their opulent vanity case designs. As the style and fashion trends shifted in the early 20th century, beauty moved to the centre stage of women’s lives. Makeup played an important role at the time, as more and more women began embracing its use and flaunting its wear. This gave jewellers like Lacloche Frères the perfect opportunity to begin exploring a whole new artform and a new facet of the accessories market. Lacloche Frères created vanity cases that were refined as well as practical. With a fascination towards Asian motifs, the pieces were symbols of originality, craftsmanship, and sophistication. Their many different takes and variants on the traditional vanity case provided them with a breadth of opportunity to experiment with vivid enamel work and meticulous technicality, weaving engineered precision with exotic artistry to conceive models of grace and beauty, rapidly enthralling collectors around the world.
